🍽 Recipe: Jambalaya
A Southern classic that celebrates diversity in every bite—rice, shrimp, sausage, peppers, and spice all layered into one rich, hearty dish.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne (to taste)
- Salt & pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
- Sauté sausage until browned, remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion, pepper, celery, and garlic until softened.
- Add rice, tomatoes, spices, and stock. Stir well.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Return sausage, add shrimp, cook until pink.
- Season to taste and serve hot.
